Happy Birthday, Elizabeth Pfeifer!

Elizabeth Pfeifer - March 1986

Elizabeth Pfeifer - March 1986

Today is my sister’s birthday. Elizabeth Ann Pfeifer would be 45 years old. She is presumed dead, but that’s never been proven. Without a body, Elizabeth’s situation is an unsolved, missing persons, cold case. It’s disheartening, frustrating and extremely painful to not know what happened to my sister.

Someone, somewhere, knows what happened to Elizabeth Pfeifer. The chances are high that more than one person is privy to why Elizabeth never came home in April, 1986.

If you have any information, please come forward and help solve Elizabeth Pfeifer’s missing persons case.

For today, and always, we remember you, sweet Elizabeth. Mom didn’t like talking about your birthdays for a long time because it was just too painful. I celebrated in silence. Through the years, I don’t think it’s gotten easier for Mom, but she will speak about you now. I won’t let you rest in silence; there’s way too much to remember! We talk about all the things we did as a family. Remember the summer trips around the country? Eating Kentucky Fried Chicken in Holiday Inn hotel rooms and fighting over the mashed potatoes and gravy and who got the drumstick. Driving through the aftermath of hurricanes and tornadoes and dust storms. Daddy catching a horny toad in West Texas, on the side of I10, because we asked him to. Mom baking those special treats. Eating macaroni and cheese. You were a great twirler in junior high and earned all those trophies and awards.

We love you!

  1. Laura,

I dated Elizabeth when I was 16 and was recently looking up old friends from Katy and found articles about her disappearance. It is really disturbing that something like this happened to her. It really does seem that someone knows what happened. I saw her around 1984 at a bar and we talked a bit. Just so sad that bad things like this happen. Hopefully someone will come forward at some point and tell the truth.

    • Hi John –

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I think I remember you! 🙂

As you can imagine, we miss Elizabeth so much! It’s really sad, and I’m determined to get closure, hopefully while my mother is still alive. Please keep in touch and let me know if you find anything out while you’re looking up old friends. 🙂

      Laura Pfeifer Townshend
